CHS still pursuing Florida lease
By Erin Lawley Posted on January 25, 2010 at 9:03 amCommunity Health Systems (Ticker: CYH) continues to court a Florida county’s hospital trustees about a lease deal for Monroe Regional Medical Center. The Ocala Star-Banner reports this morning on correspondence between CHS and the Marion County Hospital District representatives about the financially struggling, 420 bed public hospital.
The Franklin-based hospital operator approached Monroe about a sale in November.
