Firestone unit laying off in Arkansas

Firestone Building Products, which makes synthetic rubber products used in commercial construction, is cutting 90 jobs at a plant near Texarkana.

Bridgestone pulling out of motocross

After 18 years, the tire maker says it will stop supplying the AMA Supercross series at the end of this year. The company’s wares have been on every winning rider’s bike so far this year.
