Saint Thomas adds neuro network
Posted on October 1, 2009 at 2:24 pmSaint Thomas Health Services has added neurological services to its Chest Pain Network centers Hickman Community Hospital in Centerville, Tenn., and Lincoln County Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tenn. The Saint Thomas Stroke Network is intended to streamline stroke symptom detection and diagnosis, and the treatment and transfer of stroke patients. It will be part of all Chest Pain Network locations by the end of the year.
Matthew Walker gets more stimulus cash

The renovation project will also create additional office space for health education, outreach and behavioral health staff. Finally, AARA-CIP funds will be used to significantly improve the core of its information technology infrastructure. The major improvement includes advancing the integration of the electronic health record to include radiology and ophthalmology services.

Michelle Williams, the medical director at the Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, has been named Outstanding Practitioner of the Year by the Tennessee Primary Care Association. An RCC for the new VA at an HBCU
Posted on April 1, 2009 at 10:28 amIn case you missed that, that’s a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new U.S. Veterans Administration clinic at Meharry Medical College. This clinic is the first of its kind on the campus of a historically black college or university.
The ceremony for the brand new 6,000-square-foot facility located next door to Nashville General Hospital is set for Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
