Echo veteran joins Tech Council

The Nashville Technology Council has hired former echomusic VP Joe Kustelski to develop the online presence of its planned Nashville Entrepreneurship Center, a venture it hopes will coalesce the energies and questions of budding businesses and their partners in one virtual spot.

Ticketmaster eviscerating echo

From our brethren at Music Row comes word that the local online marketing venture is being given a major haircut, with much of its staff being shown the door. Founder Mark Montgomery left the company three months ago.

Music Row says Mark Montgomery is set to depart the company he co-founded a decade ago and sold to Ticketmaster for $25 million in 2007. On his blog, Montgomery says he will start on his next project after “the first real breather i have had since i started working.”
