Preds’ value slips four spots

The value of the Nashville Predators fell 5 percent last season to $156 million, according to Forbes‘ statisticians. That pushed the franchise back down the league list to the same spot it held in 2006. Check out the team’s current page here and Forbes‘ lists from 2008, 2007 and 2006.
Psych Solutions still a market beater

But if the trend holds, the Franklin-based company (Ticker: PSYS) won’t make the cut in 2011: It’s fallen from ninth to 38th over the past two years.

A Brentwood-based trio of veteran engineers and business development execs top Forbes‘ list of America’s Most Promising Companies. Pictured above are Robert Tryon, left, Loren Nasser and Animesh Dey, who founded Vextec nine years ago and have in recent years begun building a strong base of commercial customers for their modeling software business.
Their aim: to hasten the design of everything from engine parts to medical devices–all while slashing research-and-development expenses and even opening doors for new competitors.
Titans’ value reaches 10 digits

Forbes‘ annual ranking of NFL team values has the Titans moving up a spot from last year and becoming the 20th team to reach the $1 billion mark. (The 19th team was the Seahawks, who slipped a bit this past year.)
