Middle Tennessee is now home to a REO ResQ franchise that will help lenders preserve the value of properties they’ve taken onto their books. Agent Carl Longmire will run the business.

Glass Doctor, which markets various residential and commercial glass services from almost 400 stores around the country, says Nashville is on its wish list for franchising. The average franchised store rings up about $850,000 in annual revenues.

Pasta chain targets Nashville

Nashville is one of a handful of cities on the franchising wish list of Colorado-based Noodles & Co. The chain, which runs more than 200 stores around the country, sees at least 10 stores in the markets it wants to enter.

Local hotel venture opens first Wyoming site

A franchisee of Hendersonville-based Boomerang Hotels has opened the company’s first location in Wyoming. Boomerang, which in 2006 acquired the GuestHouse brand from ShoLodge and rebranded a year ago, runs more than 70 hotels from Georgia to Washington.

Arizona-based Speedpro Imaging, which markets buildings and car wraps as well as trade show materials, will soon open a Nashville franchise store as part of an expansion push that also includes three locations in the Atlanta area.

Crye-Leike launches franchise hunt

And the big will get bigger… The region’s largest residential brokerage has teamed up with an Atlanta company to help it recruit franchises now flying competitors’ flags.

“We have seen a tremendous amount of real estate company consolidation in the last couple of years across the company’s southern U.S. region - with several independent and competitor franchise firms joining Crye-Leike,” said Mr. Crye. “I see home sales in our primary and secondary markets will continue to fluctuate up and down for another couple years forcing some firms to seek out a company’s like ours to help sustain them, their business and clients.”

Santa Fe Holding, the roadhouse chain run by Nashville entrepreneur Danny York, will next week open its first franchise location. The Hammond, La., eatery will be the first of three scheduled to open in the Pelican State in the next year.

Baker attorney named ‘Legal Eagle’

Joel R. Buckberg, head of the franchise and hospitality practice groups for Baker Donelson, has been named a Legal Eagle by industry publication Franchise Times. The annual listing recognizes franchise law attorneys on the basis of input from their peers and clients.

This is Buckberg’s third consectutive year to make the list.
