NES appoints new chair and vice chair

Nashville, Tenn. – Professional Realtor and author Richard Courtney has been appointed Chairman of the Nashville Electric Service Power Board. Courtney has served on the NES board since August 2007. He is replacing newly elected state comptroller Justin P. Wilson.
A professional realtor in Nashville for 30 years, Courtney is principal broker of the Music Row office of Fridrich & Clark Realty. He is the author of a successful real estate book, Buyers are Liars & Sellers are Too!, and a contributing writer for Donald Trump’s The Best Real Estate Advice I Ever Received. He is also the real estate columnist for the Tennessean and a contributing writer for the Nashville Business Journal, the City Paper and a wide range of industry and professional publications.
Courtney has served on the boards of the national, state and local Realtor associations, and he was 2007 president of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
As an active member of the Nashville community, Courtney serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity, is a member of Leadership Nashville Leadership Music Partnership, and is co-chair of the Realtor Advisory Committee of Schermerhorn Symphony Hall. He also volunteers for Room in The Inn.
