Even two years on, Community Health Systems continues to suffer headaches over an Indiana hospital it rolled up as part of its purchase of Triad.

Porter Hospital, which was a contentious purchase from the get go, is at the center of a $3.4 million lawsuit filed against the hospital operator over software, the vendor claims, has not been paid for. After a year of claims and counter claims the legal scuffle is still not resolved

The Nashville-based tire maker has cut 50 jobs at an Illinois plant where it laid off another 67 earlier this year. In Costa Rica, meanwhile, the company has opened an $8 million factory that will employ 100 and replace a facility in Indianapolis.
